Dead Stinky Stuff Found under my Kitchen

      It may seem strange to share this but !!  people who know me will understand.  Which doesn't mean it's not strange but still..  So, the very day I bought this house, Closing Day, a skunk did what skunks do under the kitchen. In a big way.  It lasted a very long time , to a lesser degree right up to last week.  I would say that you get used to it but that would be a lie.  I paid a skunk removal guy to trap "them"  but all that did was trap the same squirrel three times and a possum. Which were all completely unharmed and released in the yard.  By the way, I love skunks in theory , just not living under my house.  Ultimately the only thing that could be done was to wait until the foundation could be closed up.  As breezy as it is , currently any feral cat , possums and yes , skunks could just mosey in.  Everytime I turned on the water at the kitchen sink, I would smell skunk. Turns out the skunk removal guy was right when he said " Well, Ma'am  ( Ma'am !! What the Hell !!! That was Uncalled For !) I think what we have here is a dead skunk under there".   Indeed.  So , 6 months later Contractor Dave pulled it out , it was wrapped more or less right under my kitchen sink cabinet.  And so , in the picture at right lay his earthly remains.  Never has so little smelled so much for so, so long.  May he rest in piece , elsewhere.
