In my garden today....

  ...my favorite Peony "Dark Prince". And it is , in my opinion, spectacular. And , contrary to the gardening world's opinion, peonies are not fussy and difficult. I have 5 different varieties  and they all are easy to deal with and quick to bloom. When I left the farm in November of 2009 I was in a rush and said to a friend " hey dig those up over there , here's a bag" and that trash bag of peonies sat in my sister's driveway from November to March when I planted them. They all bloomed a month later and this Spring they've all doubled in size. I say peonies have gotten a bum rap.
