My very first blog post!

     Welcome to my studio Journal, I'm glad you're here.  The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a sculptor living and working in Staunton , Virginia. I moved here from Bedford County ,Virginia seven months ago mainly because I wanted to live in a more green , art-centric community where I could go out my front door , wave to my neighbors and walk four blocks downtown and have coffee in a cafe. On a minute's notice. This I could not do living in the wilds of Bedford county. The second thing you should know is that this studio journal will not only be about my work.  When you make art from home , there is no veil between work and life, they mingle constantly. And this journal will reflect that.

     So , in addition to my work influences and process, other topics I will touch on are my siblings.  I am lucky to have three great siblings, despite the death of our parents or because of it , we are closer than ever. And as any good cat "owner" would , I will talk a tidge too much about my cats Sasha and Spike because they are adorable which I will prove with photographic evidence.  Also, you will hear about my dog Bhindi who, despite having issues and having lost a lot of freedom , loves it here because of her and my newfound friends.  Gardening is very important to me and having a clean slate plant-wise is a challenge and a blessing. Edible landscaping and roses are a particular passion of mine and when something new blooms I will share.
