My New Plan.

       Confession time : While I am a passable flower gardener, I am a very bad food /vegetable gardener. I start out with good intentions and then forget to harvest. And generally start to think about the edibles as flowers or part of the landscape and sort of think " Oh, leave it there , it sort of looks interesting". It makes me feel inadequate. But I have a NEW PLAN ! ( I love new plans, don't you ?) It involves only growing edibles that I love , love, love and have to have. Which brings me to the strawberries above, and the figs below, and the blueberries that aren't ripe yet.  Last year, I planted an Asian Pear, two plums and a peach ,a couple of blueberries, a few figs, a gooseberry and lots of strawberries. What the **squirrels didn't get hold of , I actually ate. It was much more successful for me than putting seeds in the ground and hoping I would remember them later. So , basically the New Plan consists of me walking around my yard eating stuff, which I can totally do and not buying little vegetable plants , putting them in the ground and forgetting about them. I can totally do that, too. So , it's really more of a Simple Plan , which if I am correct was a band in the nineties that I dimly recall. Kind of a stupid name though.
