And kinda sharp ! But his little arms are very silly looking, I mean, they're just for show apparently. They don't even reach his mouth ! Evolution is just wacky sometimes. But to make species specific Dinosaurs or "paleoart" I need to include even ridiculous parts that make no sense. Like these itsy-bitsy arms. I guess he made up for them with his ginormous mouth.

As the signs say "Happy New Year "! They were made by my nephews Lock and Han , age 6 and 2 1/2 , to welcome me to their home today for asian dumplings and steamed buns. It was great , we worked on a jigsaw puzzle ( I love jigsaw puzzles !) and I got to bring home some leftovers. But tomorrow is the 2nd of January which means the holidays are over and it's time to get back to work. I've decided for the next few months at least to concentrate on dinosaurs, so for the last few days I've been reading my Christmas dinosaur books to fill up my head with dinosaurs images until I think about them so much that I dream about them. I've found that is often how I work best to solve problems in clay before I actually do it. What I've been thinking about is concentrating on 5 particular dinosaurs Allosaurus, Spinosaurus,Styracosaurus, Corythosaurus and Dryosaurus. I might change my mind on a few of them and switch in an Ankylosaurus, I haven't decided. But the idea is to really understand each one, as well as I can, before I move on to 5 new kinds. That's my plan and on this first day of this new year , all things are possible.
